MEP Construction advances the execution of comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works at Shades Mall, a 17.000 spm commercial and administrative development in First Settlement, New Cairo.
MEP Construction is currently progressing with the execution of an integrated MEP scope at Shades Mall, developed by ASALDI in First Settlement, New Cairo, with ECB serving as the project consultant. Spanning approximately 17,000 square meters, the development comprises commercial and administrative spaces supported by a comprehensive range of building systems.
MEP Construction is responsible for delivering the project’s integrated mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, low-current, and building technology systems, covering the key infrastructure required to support the development’s functionality and operational performance.
The mechanical scope includes the complete HVAC infrastructure, comprising chillers, AHUs, FCUs, Hi-wall units, exhaust and smoke extraction systems, pressurization systems, ductwork, and chilled eater networks. The scope also includes comprehensive fire protection, plumbing, drainage, and fountain systems.
On the electrical side, the works encompass power, lighting, earthing, and low-current systems, including CCTV, Public Address, Access Control, Fire Alarm, and Data Systems. The project also incorporated Building Management System(BMS) and KNX solutions, supporting integrated building and automation.
The project has currently reached approximately 30% overall progress, with key works completed across multiple areas. These include firefighting networks at the ground and upper-ground floors and associated risers, selected HVAC ductwork, drainage and water supply risers, underground basement drainage, landscape drainage, and substantial electrical works across the development.
MEP Construction is currently progressing through the First Fix stage, with ongoing works including additional drainage and water supply risers, cable tray and cable trunking installations, and lighting works.
Through the continued coordination of multiple engineering disciplines, MEP Construction is advancing the project in line with the construction programme, reinforcing its approach to delivering integrated MEP solutions for complex commercial developments.
